An Example of Great Customer Service

Two years ago, Dot Oliphant from Five Points Motors had had one too many bad experiences with her current commercial services provider. “Just thinking about it now makes my blood pressure go up,” she said. So in June of 2011 she went looking for a business card Scottie Springer, Customer Service Manager for A Cleaner World’s Uniform and Commercial Services Division, had dropped off during a recent visit. And since then “everything has been good from the get go,” she told me.

I asked how. “Never once did my old company make a special trip for one item. A Cleaner World has,” she explained. She went on to tell me that one of their guys had gotten a hole in a pair of pants, had forgotten to tag them, and as a result they didn’t get put on the truck. When she discovered it she called Scottie who quickly dropped off another pair. She went on to share complimentary stories on their uniform shirt logo, the route driver, and the extra mile put in by our staff.

It’s that going the extra mile that has caused her to recommend A Cleaner World to others. And the bottom line she gave me was that she is extremely happy. That reminds me of a quote by Benjamin Franklin – ‘Well done is better than well said.’ Agreed. Well done Scottie and team.
